An internal standard for the quantification of β-glycerophosphate
Products are for research use only. Not for human use. We do not sell to patients.
Sample solution is provided at 25 µL, 10mM.
β-Glycerophosphate-d5 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of β-glycerophosphate by GC- or LC-MS. β-Glycerophosphate is an inhibitor of alkaline phosphatase.1 It decreases alkaline phosphatase activity and promotes bone mineralization in chick osteoblasts when used at concentrations of 10 and 20 mM. β-Glycerophosphate (10 mM) induces calcification of cultured bovine vascular smooth muscle cells (BVSMCs) in an alkaline phosphatase-dependent manner.2
