Macrophage scavenger - Clodronate Liposomes
Clodronate Liposomes were developed by Professor Nico van Rooijen of Vrije University in Amsterdam, Netherlands, introduces membrane-impermeable clodronate into the cell through the entosis mechanism of macrophages. Under the action of macrophage lysosomal phosphatase, clodronate dissolved in the aqueous phase of liposomes is released and accumulated in the cells. When it reaches a certain concentration, it can induce macrophages to enter the apoptosis process, and then the macrophages were eliminated.
Clodronate Liposomes are suitable for various injection methods, such as intravenous injection, intraperitoneal injection, subcutaneous injection, intranasal injection and testicular injection, etc. The injection volume is related to the body weight of the mice, the injection period, the injection method and the purpose of the experiment.
