CR-1-31-B zeigt starke inhibitorische Wirkungen gegenÜber eIF4A, indem es die Wechselwirkung zwischen eIF4A und RNA stÖrt, wodurch die Initiation wÄhrend der Proteinsynthese sequenziell behindert wird. CR-1-31-B stÖrt die Assoziation von Plasmodium falciparum eIF4A (PfeIF4A) mit RNA. CR-1-31-B induziert die Apoptose von Neuroblastom- und Gallenblasenkrebszellen.
