11β-プロスタグランジンF2α(11β-PGF2α)は、体内でのPGD2の主要な血漿代謝物質です。正常な人間の尿中における11β-PGF2αの排泄量は約54 ng / mmolクレアチニンであり、喘息患者においてアレルゲン誘発性気道収縮が起こるとほぼ3倍に増加します。これは、ヒト気管支平滑筋収縮を誘発し、脂肪分化を抑制する点でPGF2αと同等の作用を示します。 11β-PGF2αは、0.14〜2.8μMの濃度でADPまたはトロンビン誘発性ヒト血小板凝集を阻害します。
