W1131 ist ein wirksamer STAT3-Inhibitor, der Ferroptose auslösen kann. W1131 hemmt das Fortschreiten von Krebs in Magenkrebs-Subkutantransplantationsmodellen, Organoidmodellen und PDX-Modellen. W1131 reduziert die Chemotherapieresistenz von Krebszellen gegenüber 5-FU effektiv. W1131 reguliert den Zellzyklus, die DNA-Schadensantwort und die oxidative Phosphorylierung einschließlich des IL6-JAK-STAT3-Signalwegs und des Ferroptose-Signalwegs.
