1,2-ジステアロイル-sn-グリセロ-3-PC（1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-PC、DSPC）は、リポソーム、ミセル、その他の種類の人工膜の合成に使用できる脂質である[1]。1,2-ジステアロイル-sn-グリセロ-3-PCはサッカロミセス・セレビシエ（出芽酵母）で生成される代謝物である[2]。1,2-ジステアロイル-sn-グリセロ-3-PCを含む混合脂質単層はカルシウム媒介DNAに結合できる[3]。
1,2-ジステアロイル-sn-グリセロ-3-PCとCdSe/ZnS QDをリポソーム製剤の中で調製することで薬物TNTをカプセル化し、HeLa細胞で処理した。遊離TNTと比べて、細胞に取り込まれやすく、内部化されやすく、細胞毒作用が大幅に改善された[4]。1,2-ジステアロイル-sn-グリセロ-3-PCをカプセル化したリポソームは、HeLa細胞と104C1細胞を処理し、クラミジアトラコマティスCtD感染を促進した[5]。
