Description of H-Glu(Tyr-OH)-OH

H-Glu(Tyr-OH)-OH ist ein Dipeptid. H-Glu(Tyr-OH)-OH besteht aus Glutaminsäure(Glu) und Tyrosin(Tyr). Sein chemischer Name ist L-glutamyl-L-tyrosine. Die Summenformel lautet C₁₄H₁₈N₂O₆. Das Molekulargewicht beträgt 310.3. H-Glu(Tyr-OH)-OH ist ein kompetitiver Inhibitor von Dipeptidylpeptidase 4(DPP-IV) (IC₅₀ = 6.77 mM). H-Glu(Tyr-OH)-OH könnte zur Behandlung von Typ-2-Diabetes eingesetzt werden[1]. Der Tyrosin-Anteil von H-Glu(Tyr-OH)-OH enthält eine phenolische Hydroxylgruppe. Sie kann antioxidative Eigenschaften verleihen. Die Verbindung reagiert mit freien Radikalen und reduziert dadurch oxidative Schäden[2]. Glutaminsäure und Tyrosin sind wichtige Vorstufe von Neurotransmittern. Die Hydrolyse-Produkte von H-Glu(Tyr-OH)-OH könnten an der Übertragung und Modulation von Nervensignalen beteiligt sein[3]. Einigen Studien zufolge ist der Stoffwechsel von Glutamin und Tyrosin bei Alzheimer und Parkinson gestört. Die Spiegel von H-Glu(Tyr-OH)-OH und seiner verwandten Metaboliten können auch dabei verändert sein[4].
