AB-005 is a synthetic cannabinoid (CB) built on a 1-[(1-methylpiperidin-2-yl)methyl]-indole base that is characteristic of a series of potent CBs, including AM1220 , AM1241 , and AM1248 .[1] The addition of a tetramethylcyclopropyl group has, in some cases, increased selectivity of synthetic CBs for the peripheral CB2 receptor. [2] The physiological and toxicological properties of this compound have not been established. This product is intended for forensic and research applications.
