Sample solution is provided at 25 µL, 10mM.
Gadoterate meglumine is a non-specific paramagnetic gadolinium complex used as a contrast-enhancing agent in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Gadoterate meglumine enhances the signal intensity of MRI images by shortening the longitudinal relaxation time (T1) of tissues. Gadoterate meglumine can be used for imaging the central nervous system (e.g., brain and spinal cord), abdominal and pelvic organs, as well as for angiography and cardiac electrophysiology studies[1-2].

Method for the Application of Gadoterate Meglumine in Mouse Kidney Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
This protocol is adapted from research data and provided for reference only. Adjustments may be necessary based on specific experimental requirements.
(1) Experimental Animal Model: Unilateral kidney ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) mouse model.
(2) Imaging Probe Preparation: The longitudinal relaxivity (r₁) of Gadoterate meglumine (Gd-DOTA) as an MRI probe is 2.8/(mM·s) under a 4.7T magnetic field. Gadoterate meglumine is prepared as a 50mM aqueous solution before use.
(3) MRI Imaging Protocol: Mice undergo MRI scanning via a tail vein catheter under isoflurane anesthesia. A 4.7T small-bore MRI scanner and a custom-built volume coil are used. Gadoterate meglumine is administered intravenously at a dose of 0.025mmol/kg. Dynamic imaging is performed using a high-resolution 2D T1-weighted FLASH sequence (acquisition time: 150 seconds) or a 3D T1-weighted FLASH sequence (acquisition time: 53 seconds) to monitor the kinetic process of renal signal enhancement and washout.
Precautions:
(1) The experimental procedures must comply with animal ethics requirements. During the imaging process, it is essential to ensure stable vital signs in the mice and maintain an appropriate depth of anesthesia.
(2) For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.

Note: 1. Please make sure the liquid is clear before adding the next solvent.
2. Be sure to add the solvent(s) in order. You must ensure that the solution obtained, in the previous addition, is a clear solution before proceeding to add the next solvent. Physical methods such as vortex, ultrasound or hot water bath can be used to aid dissolving.
