Somatorelin (1-44) amide is a synthetic peptide that corresponds to the full 44-amino acid sequence of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), a hormone that stimulates the production of growth hormone from the pituitary gland and is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation.^1,2 Somatorelin induces growth hormone release similarly to GHRH in vitro and in vivo.¹
