Description of Autocamtide 2 (trifluoroacetate salt)

Autocamtide 2 is a peptide substrate for calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase (CaMK) and CaMKII. It is selectively phosphorylated by CaMK over bovine brain protein kinase C (PKC; Kms = 2 and >50 μM, respectively). Autocamtide 2 phosphorylation can be used to quantify CaMK and CaMKII activity.
