N1-Methylpseudo-UTP (N1-Me-pUTP, m1ψ) is a methyl modification of naturally occurring pseudouridine (pseudo-UTP, pUTP), resulting from the N1-specific pseudouridine present in archaea and eukaryotes It is catalyzed by glycoside methyltransferase Nepl[1]. N1-Me-pUTP is a substitute for uridine (U) in RNA therapies and vaccines, which can effectively enhance RNA stability while reducing anti-RNA immune responses[2].
