(S)-Falcarinol (Panaxynol), one of the major polyacetylenes isolated from Panax ginseng, has antitumor activity. (S)-Falcarinol (Panaxynol) is the most potent antiplatelet agent in ginseng and its mechanism of action is chiefly due to the inhibition of thromboxane formation.
