Description of Transdermal Peptide (TD 1 (peptide))

Transdermal Peptide (TD 1 (peptide)) is a peptide chaperon with high permeability that facilitates several proteins' transdermal delivery via topical co-administration[1]. Transdermal Peptide binds to Na+/K+-ATPase beta-subunit (ATP1B1), and enhances the transdermal delivery of many macromolecules[2]. Transdermal Peptide temporarily and reversibly modulates the skin barrier by interacting with the lipid matrix and keratin in the stratum corneum, forming transient permeation channels[3]. Transdermal Peptide has been widely coupled with glutathione (GSH) to develop conjugated peptides with high cell membrane permeability and strong transdermal absorption ability in cosmetic products[4].
